what are you favorite kinks for achilles and patroclus? 😈
😈😈😈😈😈
Welcome to my Ted Talk
Brat Play
Achilles is a brat. Don’t @ me. Homer wrote him that way.
A brat is a type of submissive. They are rebellious, pushy, and mouthy. They deliberately provoke attention. Remind you of anyone?
Aside from being a particular brand of flirty and a rather playful BDSM play, bratting is a way this type of sub establishes trust. BDSM is all about trust. Subs hand control over to their Doms, and this cannot be done safely and consensually without trust. Brats don’t submit without a fight because it’s how they measure who they can trust. Think of it as the saying; ‘if you can’t handle me at my worst they you don’t deserve me at my best.’
There’s incredibly strong and profound trust between a brat and their Dom. Who is the dear companion? The most beloved? The advisor and supporter? The one who is reserved and kind? Whose description matches that of a Dom? Patroclus. Achilles has the deepest trust and the deepest love for Patroclus. It is Patroclus who he respects. It is Patroclus he has given control to. It is Patroclus who cares for him in return. And that is the textbook Dom/brat relationship.
Impact Play/Spanking
There’s a lot of variety in impact play. There are endless reasons why people find it enjoyable.
With Achilles, I think a lot of the appeal relates to brat play and funishment. Brats misbehavior to rile up their Dom. They push back and break rules. And what is the result of bad behavior? Punishment. Committing and carrying out punishment is the ultimate display of dedication and love to a sub. You care enough to help them be better. And that’s why brats act out. They want to see if the other person really does care about them or if it’s all talk.
I think they also enjoy it because Achilles is a demi-god. It’s a fun challenge to push the limits of his body.
You could also argue that it acts as a great stress relief and emotional outlet. Achilles spends the end of the Iliad wrecked with grief. He bratted too hard resulting in the death of his beloved. He could use some catharsis.
Size Kink
“He pointed to the trail of fine, dark hair that ran down my chest and over my stomach. He paused, and my face grew warm.”
Between Achilles staring at Patroclus’ junk in chapter 10 and Patroclus having poor self-image, I’m convinced that Patroclus is hung. Why else stare at cock? Achilles is a cock slut and a size queen. You cannot change my mind.
Primal Play
Rough, raw, aggressive, animalistic sex. It’s about instinct and urges. It is deeply emotional. Like most kink, there’s a lot of variety with this kink. The most basic play involves a hunter (Dom), a prey (sub), and the chase (or struggle) for dominance.
What does Patroclus do throughout TSoA? He chases Achilles. Achilles goes to Pelion. Pat goes after him. Achilles goes to Skyros. Pat goes after him. Achilles goes to Troy. Pat goes with him. Achilles goes to the underworld. Pat goes after him. Then there’s the fact that one of their favorite games to play was running. Who was always the one always trying to catch up in those races? 😏
Look me in the eye and tell me they’re not into grappling for dominance before fucking till they black out?
Breeding
I can't believe I almost forgot this one
There was tautness to his voice I had not heard before. ... “Do you want to?” he asked. I saw the struggle on his face. Jealousy was strange to him, a foreign thing. He was hurt, but did not know how to speak of it. I felt cruel, suddenly, for bringing it up. ... “If you wanted it, it would be all right.” Each word was carefully placed; he was trying to be fair. ... The relief on his face filled me with sweetness.
Achilles is enraged at the idea that someone else gets to have Patroclus' baby. If anyone has that honor, it should be him. Obviously 🙄 And I think Pat is into it too based on some phrasing from that chapter (you know that dark-haired child looked like Achilles.
And I think tying into this is creampie kink. (I mean, nothing is hotter than watching seed drip down thighs)
Gender Play
Achilles spends an extended period of time living as a woman. It takes a trick from the crafty Odysseus to out him. There is absolutely no way they didn’t not fuck while Achilles wore a peplos (dress). And you know it got them crazy aroused.
(I’m a big fan of genderchilles. Let Achilles be trans/fluid/bi-gender/genderqueer etc.)
Foot Fetish
“Up close, his feet looked almost unearthly: the perfectly formed pads of the toes, the tendons that flickered like lyre strings. The heels were callused white over pink from going everywhere barefoot. His father made him rub them with oils that smelled of sandalwood and pomegranate.”
Pretty self-explanatory there.
I could go on as I have a lot of kinks that I like for this couple. But for this ask I’ll just stick with what can be based in canon.
What are your kink hcs?

You can say tsats has bad writing but you are purposely being obtuse when you say nothing from will’s narration shows how much he cares for nico. first of all why are you limiting attraction to just physical features? (and will does compliment on Nico’s features btw 🙄). will mainly compliments Nico by who he is as a person but is horrible because he didnt talk about nicos hair? And how was will there to “baby” and “heal” nico when the majority of the time they were in the underworld will was weak/suffering and NICO was the one having to help him?? Nico LITERALLY took care of Will more than vice versa. And when did Will ever say he is not comfortable around nico di Angelo?? WHAT?
1) I haven’t personally finished the book yet, so most of my interpretation on Will’s narration is from the people around me who have finished the book/made it further than I have. I’ve only made it through 1 of Will’s POV chapters. Could come out of this agreeing with you, though I don’t think I will.
2) I didn’t mean to say that Will’s narration makes it sound as if he doesn’t care about Nico AT ALL (if that is actually something I said). From what I’m hearing from those around me who have finished the book however, it often feels as if Will is insensitive to a lot of things about Nico, which is strange considering they’re a couple meant to be a year into their relationship. I didn’t say Will was horrible for not talking about Nico’s hair, I meant it’s strange that Will seems to constantly step on Nico’s toes and doesn’t seem to have a lot of care for Nico’s feelings with some of the things he says (which, I’d the book was going for that, then fine, but I don’t think it was)
3) Nico di Angelo should not be struggling this hard in the environments this book puts him in, even in the context of him struggling with his mental health and reliving his traumas. A specific example of this is how the demon who was cursing him and Will with nightmares when they first enter the underworld somehow manages to COMPLETELY render Nico useless during their fight, meanwhile Will randomly unlocks an ULTRA POWERFUL new ability that lowkey doesn’t make sense. Nico is an extraordinarily strong demigod who has proven time and time again he can hold his own against gods and titans, a demigod who doesn’t run away from a battle, and yet in TSATS, as far as I’ve seen, he’s not had that same Vibe.
4) the PJO series is based around the characters and their disabilities. For Nico’s powers and trauma to have been dialed ALL the way back to what it was in TSATS, it starts to feel like the narrative is purposely weakening Nico to make him seem more damaged” and traumatized. That’s infantalizing.
Also - Will babying Nico can be seen in his reluctance to let Nico use his powers, as if he knows what’s better for Nico than Nico knows himself. When I say babying, I don’t mean “who is taking care of the other more”, I mean who is treating the other more like that person can’t take care of THEMSELF. And, from what I’m hearing from those I trust, Will (and largely the narrative itself) is CONSTANTLY making it seem as if Nico can’t take care of himself.
5) isn’t the literal whole premise of the book Will coming to terms with being uncomfortable in the underworld, which is a MASSIVE part of who Nico is? Isn’t the whole thing based around the idea of Will having to come to terms with the fact Nico has “darkness” in him, and that Will has some of that darkness too? Will is explicitly uncomfortable with parts of Nico that make up a big chunk of who he is. Like that’s a HUGE part of the book.
(Apologies if this is incoherent, I just woke up and am writing this on my phone. If I get further in the book and realize I’m wrong, 🤷 cool. However, from what I’m hearing, I don’t think I will be)

Saucy I'm reading this interview with Rettstatt and I'm fuming. It seems to me that what they're doing is trying to make ice dance as meme-able, as tiktok-y as possible. It's like they're catering to a general crowd that isn't invested in skating at the end of the day at the expense of the long-time fans. We have an over-saturation of pop or should we say "low" culture rn. Personally I watch skating to see something more elevated once in a while too. "Open hold" is my supervillain origin story.
I tracked down the interview for a read myself (via google translate). (Of all people it’s Rettstatt…… 🙄)
I don’t mind the idea of the theme so much. The OD and the SD were based on themes - that’s how VM skated to ‘the 20’s’ in 2008/2009 (and the options included the 30s and 40s too!) and how we ended up with programs as diverse as Samuelson/Bates hoe down and Davis/White’s Bollywood and VM’s Farrucas and yet also the hideous Domnina/Shabalin monstrosity in 2009/2010, all under an umbrella of ‘folk/country’. While the 80s as a theme is new, the 80s itself is both forty years in the past and experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Appealing to younger skaters and audiences isn’t in itself a bad thing; without either of them, the sport ceases to exist after all. And while obviously ice dance’s origins were based on ballroom, I don’t mind that they’re exploring other styles of dance.
Where my personal irk with the current trend of ice dance lies is with the removal of difficulty and technique. Not all themes or styles will lend themselves to closed holds or partnering, but then, not all ballroom dances translated well to the ice either; but to discard the importance of holds and step sequences and replace them with things like ‘character!!!’ or sliding on the ice or insisting they stop in place to dance, rather than expecting skaters to be able to actually skate (together) is what is destroying ice dance to me. It can take a creative choreographer and certainly not all skaters will be able to achieve outstanding programs, but that’s why it gets marked.
I took out some of the translated quotes:
Moreover, we do not set strict limits: let it be Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper or the duet “Wham!”. Different countries had their own popular music at that time - and that's great. After all, the main thing is to get a truly dance program. If the skaters have chosen a composition that the judges or the public do not perceive as dancing, then they made a mistake with the choice.
Therefore, even if we hear a song for the first time, but it is from the 80s and it is danceable (because we are talking about rhythm dance with you, let's not forget about it) - it will be understood and felt everywhere, I'm sure of it .
Depending on any other requirements the ISU decides upon, there could indeed be a crazy range of program music and vibe. But there are already rules in place about how any music must have a rhythm/beat (including specifying that classical music has a beat), so unless he’s trying to imply that everyone needs to have a program that will have the audience bopping in their seats, or else it isn't ‘danceable’ is a weird take.
Of course, they [coaches] are fully included in this process - especially this year. We started discussions at the beginning of autumn and have been exchanging views on this matter for almost half a year.
For example, one of the innovations in rhythm dance for the next season is a response to a request from athletes and coaches. We had quite a long meeting in the series “this was great, but this didn’t work at all.”
I was hoping this was about the lack of a pattern, but then he went on to talk about juniors, and then finally this:
Adult dancers won't have this [version of junior suggestion]?
No. Although we also prepared something new for them - a choreographic element of a dance pattern (in the original Pattern Dance Choreographic Element - Sports.ru). I emphasize once again: for now, these are only suggestions, it has not been officially approved, but in fact, we will return to the rhythm dance the pattern that everyone is used to.
The only thing is that it will not necessarily be evaluated by levels. Let's put it this way: most likely it will have to be perceived by the judges as a choreo element. So we are preparing something new; let's see how it will be in practice.
That is, this season in rhythm dance we have a choreo track, next season there will be something like a choreo pattern, and then we can decide what to keep from it. We will have the experience of two seasons - and we will get the reaction directly from the dancers and their coaches. It is important for us to hear their opinion: what was more interesting for them to do from a choreographic point of view.
Aside from me being a little confused, how I’m reading that is basically - a return to how the judges used to mark the compulsory dances, which in theory was how well it was done, but in reality was ordinal judging, aka the ‘we liked it better’ or any other cynical version of judging. On on hand, it would at least in part return us to patterns, but on the other, it seems like just another step backwards and downwards into judging that has little to do with what happening with blade on ice.
Before that, we heard many times that juniors (and their coaches) like the pattern and they would like to keep it - because it helps to develop skills, but adult skaters … I won’t say that they are against it, but they didn’t like the level system on pattern because it limited their creativity and imagination.
I mean, the weird thing about the pattern as it was in the short/rhythm dance, is that it focused so much on a few specific pieces - an edge, a turn - and cared to little about the rest, that I don’t blame the skaters for not enjoying training it. But seeing the state of the senior skaters coming through, I’d say that they still need to work on those skills. :/
– You and your colleagues go to all the official trainings of dancers during tournaments. For what? At training sessions for single skaters, for example, you will not always meet judges.
It's interesting that you asked about this - because we just started discussing with colleagues whether it is necessary for us to do this, haha.
In fact, representatives of the panel of judges and the chief referee of the competition do not just sit at official training. We need to know what elements this or that duet is going to perform so that in the competitive box office we have an understanding of how it should look in the idea. This helps when setting levels per element.
And even this does not always save us, by the way: sometimes on the day of the competition we are in for surprises - we still see some elements for the first time. At the same time, the technical panel should evaluate not the original idea, but what it sees in competitive box office.
Tessa was talking about this a bit recently, in that she and Scott deliberately chose to attend more practices in regular gear rather than costumes and to avoid having the hair and make up that go with it (of course even more for the women).
But yes, it’s good for the judges to know what to expect, when, in a program, but it’s pretty sad he has to specify that judges should be marking what is competed, rather than on what they did in practice, lok - it’s almost like momentum and reputation are issues in figure skating .🙄

One comment I saw over and over again was people claiming Christian Extremists "aren't true Christians".
Here's the thing, it doesn't matter.
It just doesn't fucking matter.
The whole point is Christian Nationalism *Exists and it is Wrong*.
They want to infiltrate the government and it's no secret. They base it off of Matthew 28:28-30. They won't stop with the US. Their goal is Global Domination. Just look at how they have already dominated the globe with their Christian White Supremacy. Their next goal is taking over politics. They aren't quiet about it because they think they are following Christ. It is part of their faith.
I want you to take them seriously when they tell you their agenda.
Stop dismissing and downplaying them. Stop theologically debating them. Stop shrugging your shoulders to live your best life like they don't exist.
Your dismissive attitude about them doesn't matter when they are lobbying to take your rights away.
They've already declared a "holy w@r" on unbelievers, and the political climate is playing into their hands. It's fucking already started.
As much compassion as I have, we cannot pander or cater to them. Loving people doesn't mean that we aren't allowed to be angry. I'm fuckin livid and you should be too.
Now that that's out of the way,
I am agnostic. I *personally do not follow Jesus. I don't really care about him, honestly. I don't care what the Bible says. I just want to have a healthy planet to live on and a healthy society as best we can, not just for us, but for future generations.
I see atheism and theists as both valid *personal beliefs. I just think it's best for us not to confuse faith with facts which is why I am agnostic. I have a lot of believer friends on my page whom I respect, and I have a lot of atheist friends I respect. Have fun debating among yourselves if that brings you joy. Just please be respectful and remember we are limited in our understanding here.
I believe in basic human kindness, but I am not naive. I don't follow Jesus, I do not feel compelled to follow his teachings. I may or may not subscribe to turning the other cheek or even forgiveness. If you bite me, I might bite back. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't play with oppression or abusers.
And for fucks sake, I got my tattoos After I Deconstructed. 🙄🙄🙄 Thank you for telling me what wasn't allowed in my own religion... I wasn't even able to speak my mind as a woman, or even God forbid, *say something Insightful in the presence of men* without getting gossiped about or kicked out of the church, but please, tell me how having tattoos *Today invalidates what I said about my own Past experience. I don't want to go to your "fairyland" anyway 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I was actually quoting a comment. Lmao
I do not speak because I am trying to win anyone over. I speak because, bottom line, it's worth speaking. I speak because We are the MAJORITY and need to act like it. I speak because I have the courage to. I speak because I am a woman and a mother. I speak because I care about my country and humanity. However, changing minds is never a reason why I do what I do. I don't care about that. I respect people enough to let them be.
To all of those who were genuine, felt validated because of your own experience with Christianity, I see you. I honor you. You aren't crazy. You aren't alone. You are my reason. This is our country too. Don't give up. Your story matters. I will try to respond to as many as I can.
For the friend requests, I don't typically add people who I don't have any mutual friends with. If you shoot me a message introducing yourself, I'm more inclined to add you.
For those wanting more of my work, please feel free to hit the Follow button. I am available for writing and speaking engagements, podcasts, coaching and mentoring. I do a lot of various things on the side such as frequency wellness devices (both sessions and sales), Human Design readings, and even payment processing for business owners. Hell, I even officiate weddings and ceremonies. Message me if anything sparks your interest.
Thank you so much to all who shared your heart and shared the post. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to know it hits home and that we aren't alone.
We won't give up or give in.

Full moon in Cancer at 16°18 this friday.
Tumblr media
For more full moon details and future transits, you can find those links at the end of this blog.
This full moon will be opposing the sun and mercury in capricorn, bringing to our attention, in my opinion that we need to relearn how we nurture, care for, show love, and the way we support others. Compliments on their looks and accomplishments is nice and all but it kinda is feeding into the culture of narcissm and sending the message that you're only valued by your looks, status, appearance, material things, our egotistical selves. From a young age, we've all been conditioned to believe this, people treat you better if you look your best or fit a specific beauty standard. That's why so many people today live to impress others and keep up appearances with surgery, cosmetics, filters in anyway to make themselves look better bc they feel like who they are aside from that isn't enough..
I feel like we need to rethink how much of our behaviors, praise for others, and admiration are based on superficial things. Constantly telling people they're beautiful, handsome, talented, it's appreciated ofc, but is that all they are to us at the end of the day? Does that help them become a better person, does that validate their entire self, does it do more harm than good?
We should try to be more constructive and maybe get to know people on a deeper level. Appreciate their authenticity, their humanness, who they are at their core.
And for us moms/parents out there this new moon in cancer is also shedding light on our home life, our children, our parenting styles. Remember to not bring our traumas, expectations, egos to be tied to our children in a negative way. Little by little provide building blocks for our young ones to develop into their own person with none of our baggage attached. Don't praise or prioritize only superficial things bc we know looking good these days is so important in the world, but try to challenge ourselves to look beyond that and be more impactful with our kids. Praise kindness, responsibility, being respectful, balance out the serious/stern side (capricorn) with our emotional/loving side. You don't have to be mean to teach your children a lesson, and you don't have to be too careful and sweet either. It's more important to teach your children how to survive in this crazy world, so try your best to focus on what's important.
Pallas is conjuncting the moon in the 1st house, house of self. So we all are becoming aware of our emotional nature, matters of the home/security, maybe how we parent/nurture ourselves. Take leadership to give yourself emotional fulfillment and create environments that make you want to thrive. Even if that means cutting out/placing boundaries against the people in our lives who are reminding us of our past unhealed selves, this is family members, old friends, people and places that we have now outgrown. It's time to take matters into your own hands and live for yourself, demand a good life. With the past few years we've all be struggling, experienced death after death of loved ones. We can't keep holding ourselves back from being our purest, bravest, comfiest, emotional, messy, and authentic selves...were only here for a limited time.
A lot of people... aka me🙄, are so far gone from who we were as a child, who had no limits, insecurities, self hate, inner judgment.
So it's just something to think about.
The moon, sun, mercury will also be squaring chiron in aries so it may flare up some insecurities and issues related to our identity and how we show up in our lives. Egos will be flared, we may be stubborn and impulsive, trying hard to control everything and hide away. Regardless of it all, our insecurities are bound to be seen, you might as well just say fuck it and put less pressure on being perfect or socially acceptable. What's more important then being perfect is just being a good person, being someone who makes others feel heard, respected, safe no matter how diff we are we have the same instinctual/emotional needs.
Ceres is in libra in the 4th house opposite chiron so to me that's how I see this all.

Well yes. There you have it in a nutshell.
"...Not a good adaptation." 👍👍👍👍👍
Of course criticisms are being met with cries of horror. (Quel surprise 🙄)
But they're missing the point entirely.
Were this a fantasy story 'based on' or 'inspired by' Tolkein's Middle Earth, but actually, separate from it.
Then it looks pretty intriguing. And I'd happily dive in there and see what's on offer. Because given what you could be inspired by Tolkien to create, the sky's not even a limit!
And I bet the dear old prof would be delighted to have sparked the creativity in others. Because he was after all a storyteller, and myths, legends, folk and fairy tales are meant to be taken as bare bones to build upon however you like.
There's deep truth at the heart of each tale. And as long as that remains, then you can tell those tales however you like.
But that's not what's happening here. This is claiming to tell Tolkein's story. And it's showing such a deep disregard for it all.
Why the merry heck would you need to put Galadriel in armour, if you know that she's a High Elf with phenomenal powers?
You wear armour for one reason only. To protect your flesh from being pierced by weapons.
Most elf warriors can still be killed this way, so yes, they wear armour. But Galadriel?
Look at how Peter Jackson's movies put characters like Galadriel, Gandalf and Saruman against seriously armed warriors yet wearing just their ordinary clothes to do so.
Why? Because he knows that they are armed and protected by awesome magic powers.
This is just some cheap 'let's make Galadriel look like a kick ass warrior woman' trick.
Well congratulations people, you just demoted her. 😠
Elrond merely 'politically ambitious'?
Talk about stripping him of all that makes him such a great character. 🙄
Yes. I get that this is before the rings were even made, so it's before Elrond fights in the battle where Sauron loses The One Ring to Isildur.
But Tolkein fans have the second sight here. They know that this is what Elrond will do.
They know that this great half elf warrior will also have The Last Homely House East of The Sea' and will make guests, including Bilbo Baggins of The Shire, warm and welcome.
He'll be a statesman, a healer, a lore-master and also a father.
Then there's The Hobbits. Now, I've nothing against a multi ethnic band of small folk who love home, family and good food.
In fact, please introduce me. They sound like my kind of people.
But The Hobbits of The Shire echo something very important to Tolkein.
As a child he and his family had to leave their rural home and go to live in urban Birmingham.
So in The Shire we see the pre WW1 rural England that he longed for.
Now, I get that the fact that this means that everyone would be white doesn't sit well with a lot of people. And I respect that.
So wouldn't it be better for someone to create another world where these Hobbit like people of many races can live together?
Like it or not, Tolkein's Hobbits are an idealised snapshot of the rural, pre war England of Tolkein's early boyhood.
Elves, Men and Dwarves with their own languages are awash with Celtic and Norse influences. Culturally this is White European.
And either writers should respect that this is how Tolkein wrote it, or be inspired by his work to create a different more ethnically diverse world.
I'd like to see that. Because we're getting so little truly new stuff these days.
And inspired by a Love of Tolkein sounds like a beautiful way to start creating something fresh.
I think the saddest parts of the Rings of Power sneak peaks are, on one hand, how average it looks. Yes, the high amount of budget is noticeable, but it could be any other story. Armored Galadriel is great until you remember she supposed to be Galadriel . None of the elfs look like any other thing but humans, same for the dwarves. And the humans could be extras from The Witcher.
The second part, and probably the most disappointing, its the balant disregard of the source material, shown only with just a couple of pictures and captions. And yeah of course there were going to be changes, but... Why new characters? No respecting basic lore? Wtf is politically ambitious Elrond?
All in all, I hope this is a good show even if its not a good adaptation.
